Exterior-only makes sense if you are happy cleaning the insides yourself, if you are booking purely for curb appeal, or if it is a late-autumn maintenance clean. Pay for both sides when you are selling or hosting, when the interior glass has not been done in over a year, or when the windows are hard to open safely. Perfect Shine's $9 per pane covers both sides, tracks, sills and screens, so the two-sided job is the default here rather than an upsell.

Roughly speaking the outside picks up the dirt and the inside picks up the film. Exteriors take weather, dust, sprinkler spotting and pollen. Interiors accumulate a slow haze from cooking, dust, pets and, in older Boise homes, wood smoke. The outside looks worse sooner. The inside is what you actually look through, and it is the side people notice once it is done.
It is a legitimate, cheaper purchase and we are happy to quote it. It suits a late-autumn maintenance clean, a rental between tenants where the interior will be done anyway, a house whose insides you keep on top of, or a budget that has to go somewhere. Most companies price exterior-only lower because the crew is not moving furniture or working around your day.
Selling the house, because clean interior glass is the cheapest staging that exists and buyers unconsciously read it as a well-kept house. Hosting anything. Any window you cannot safely open or lean out of. And any interior that has gone more than a year, because the haze builds gradually enough that you stop seeing it until it is gone.
At Perfect Shine, tracks, sills and screens are in the price on every job, both sides or exterior only. Screens are washed and dried before they go back rather than hosed and reinstalled wet, which is what leaves the streaks you see on the glass a week later.
